Reflective Aluminum Sandwich Board: Buying Guide

A reflective aluminum sandwich board is a 1/8" thick aluminum composite panel faced with 4 mil reflective vinyl, so your sign stays visible in low light and at night. It is the most rigid and longest lasting reflective sign we make.

Unlike the fixed sizes of a reflective aluminum sign, it is cut to any size from 3" x 4" up to 48" x 96". Corners are rounded to 1/4" and you can add .25" holes for mounting. It is waterproof and UV safe for years of outdoor use. Sizes over 46" x 38" (or 48" x 30") are too big to ship by parcel, so call 866-436-2101 before ordering one.

Artwork & file setup

  • Upload a JPEG or a single-page PDF, up to 300 MB, built at the exact size you order. Artwork at a different size is scaled to fit.
  • Use CMYK color, convert Pantone and spot colors to CMYK, and outline your fonts. Raster images need 150 dpi at full size.
  • Leave off crop marks and bleed. Double sided items take one file per side unless the template says otherwise.

Care & handling

Wipe the panel with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive pads, solvents and pressure washers, which can scratch the print. Store panels flat or on edge, not stacked under weight, so they stay straight.

Reflective Aluminum Sandwich Board questions & answers

How is this different from a reflective aluminum sign?

The sandwich board is a thicker 1/8" aluminum composite panel and can be any size from 3" x 4" to 48" x 96". The reflective aluminum sign is a thinner .040 aluminum sheet in three standard sizes.

Can large sizes be shipped?

Signs up to 46" x 38" or 48" x 30" ship by parcel. Larger panels, up to 48" x 96", are too big to ship by parcel, so call 866-436-2101 before ordering one.

Can it be printed on both sides?

Yes, choose single sided (4/0) or double sided (4/4) printing.

How does reflective vinyl work?

Engineer grade prismatic film bounces light from headlights or flashlights straight back toward its source, so the graphic looks lit to drivers and walkers without any power.

When will my order ship?

Order and approve your artwork by 12 pm Pacific time and it ships the same business day. By 4 pm, it ships the next business day; after 4 pm, allow one more business day. Then it travels by the shipping speed you choose at checkout.
