Aluminum Sandwich Board: Buying Guide

An aluminum sandwich board (aluminum composite, or ACM) is two sheets of corrosion resistant aluminum permanently bonded to a polyethylene core. The 1/8" (3mm) panel is rigid and long lasting like solid aluminum but lighter, and it fits most display stands. Your graphic is UV printed on vinyl and mounted to the face.

It is cut to any size from 3" x 4" up to 48" x 96", with 1/4" rounded corners, single or double sided. It is waterproof and UV safe for long term indoor and outdoor use. Sizes over 46" x 38" (or 48" x 30") are too big to ship by parcel, so call 866-436-2101 before ordering one.

Artwork & file setup

  • Upload a JPEG or a single-page PDF, up to 300 MB, built at the exact size you order. Artwork at a different size is scaled to fit.
  • Use CMYK color, convert Pantone and spot colors to CMYK, and outline your fonts. Raster images need 150 dpi at full size.
  • Leave off crop marks and bleed. Double sided items take one file per side unless the template says otherwise.

Care & handling

Wipe the panel with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid abrasive pads, solvents and pressure washers, which can scratch the print. Store panels flat or on edge, not stacked under weight, so they stay straight.

How is it different from an aluminum sign?

The sandwich board is a thicker 1/8" composite panel cut to any size. The aluminum sign is a thinner .040 sheet in three standard sizes.

Can it be printed on both sides?

Yes, choose single sided (4/0) or double sided (4/4).

Do you make reflective or dry erase versions?

Will it fit my sign frame?
