Tension Fabric Banner: Buying Guide

Tension fabric is a 2-way stretch, 8.8oz polyester printed by dye sublimation. It is the same material used for our trade show tension displays and table throws, and because it stretches it can be pulled tight over hardware and around rounded corners for a smooth, wrinkle free face.

Order it by the size you need, up to 90" x 100', for custom frames, fabric wraps and installs on hardware you already own. It is single sided, with free double stitched hems in white or black thread, and optional grommets, pole pockets, sewn-on Velcro or flush heat-cut edges.

  • Order and approve your artwork by 4 pm Pacific time and it ships the next business day; after 4 pm, allow one more business day. Orders of more than 100 pieces need two extra business days.
  • Printed to order in Renton, Washington, and shipped to all 50 states.
  • At checkout, choose standard shipping (3–6 business days) from $18, 3-day, 2-day or overnight delivery. Orders of $100 or more ship free on the standard schedule.
  • Pickup isn’t available; every order ships to you. See shipping & returns for details.

Artwork & file setup

  • Upload a JPEG or a single-page PDF, up to 300 MB, built at the exact size you order. Artwork at a different size is scaled to fit.
  • Use CMYK color, convert Pantone and spot colors to CMYK, and outline your fonts. Raster images need 150 dpi at full size.
  • Leave off crop marks and bleed. Double sided items take one file per side unless the template says otherwise.

Care & handling

The polyester fabric can be machine washed in cold water on a gentle cycle. Lay it flat or hang it to dry, and remove wrinkles with a hand steamer. Do not bleach, tumble dry or iron it.

Can I use it on my own hardware?

Yes, it is sold by custom size for your own frames. If your frame has a silicone edge channel, order Custom SEG Fabric instead.

Can it be double sided?

No. Tension fabric is single sided, up to 90" x 100', with no oversized pieces.

Is it the same fabric as your table covers?

Yes, our table covers and tension displays use the same 8.8oz polyester.

Does the optional Velcro include both sides?

1" Velcro comes with both the loop and the hook side; 2" Velcro comes with the loop side only.

What size pole fits the pole pocket?

A 2" pole pocket fits a pole up to 1" in diameter, and a 3" pocket fits up to 1.5".

When will my order ship?

Order and approve your artwork by 4 pm Pacific time and it ships the next business day; after 4 pm, allow one more business day. Then it travels by the shipping speed you choose at checkout.
