Mesh Banner: Buying Guide

A mesh banner is printed on 10oz vinyl mesh with a 70/30 perforation, so wind blows through the open holes instead of pushing against the banner. It stays flatter, puts less strain on grommets and ties, and is the safer choice for fences, scaffolding and building sides where a solid banner would catch the wind like a sail.

Graphics are UV printed in full color and read clearly from a distance. Single sided banners go up to 10' x 145' (9.5' x 145' with pole pockets) and larger ones are welded together; double sided mesh banners are two banners sewn back to back. Hems are free, and you can add grommets, pole pockets, Velcro, webbing with D-rings, sewn-in rope or reinforced corners.

  • Order and approve your artwork by 12 pm Pacific time and it ships the same business day. By 4 pm, it ships the next business day; after 4 pm, allow one more business day. Orders of more than 100 pieces need two extra business days.

Artwork & file setup

  • Upload a JPEG or a single-page PDF, up to 300 MB, built at the exact size you order. Artwork at a different size is scaled to fit.
  • Use CMYK color, convert Pantone and spot colors to CMYK, and outline your fonts. Raster images need 150 dpi at full size.
  • Leave off crop marks and bleed. Double sided items take one file per side unless the template says otherwise.

Care & handling

Clean the print with mild soap, water and a soft cloth, and skip solvents and pressure washers. Let the banner dry fully before you store it, then roll it with the printed side facing out and keep it somewhere dry. Using every grommet when you hang it spreads the load and helps prevent tears.

When should I choose mesh instead of 13oz vinyl?

Choose mesh for banners in open, windy places such as fences, scaffolding and building sides. Choose 13oz vinyl for storefronts, indoor spaces and sheltered spots.

What finishing do you recommend?

For street banners, large banners and long term installs, add webbing and reinforced corners, and use every grommet when you hang the banner so it is not damaged.

How is a double sided mesh banner made?

Two banners are printed and sewn back to back.

What size pole fits the pole pocket?

A 2" pole pocket fits a pole up to 1" in diameter, a 3" pocket fits up to 1.5", and a 4" pocket fits up to 2".

When will my order ship?

Order and approve your artwork by 12 pm Pacific time and it ships the same business day. By 4 pm, it ships the next business day; after 4 pm, allow one more business day. Then it travels by the shipping speed you choose at checkout.
