Clear Adhesive Vinyl: Buying Guide

AV 5 adhesive clear vinyl is an ultra clear 4 mil PVC film with a clear permanent adhesive, so only your printed design shows on glass and other transparent surfaces and light still comes through around it.

It is printed in CMYK without white ink, so colors are see-through and look best on clean, smooth glass. The adhesive grips strongly and the decal may not reposition; for graphics you plan to move, choose a window cling. Sizes go up to 52" high by 159' wide.

Popular uses

  • Window logos and store hours

Artwork & file setup

  • Upload a JPEG or a single-page PDF, up to 300 MB, built at the exact size you order. Artwork at a different size is scaled to fit.
  • Use CMYK color, convert Pantone and spot colors to CMYK, and outline your fonts. Raster images need 150 dpi at full size.
  • Leave off crop marks and bleed. Double sided items take one file per side unless the template says otherwise.
  • Clear vinyl is printed without white ink: anything white in your file prints clear, and colors look lighter on the clear film.

Care & handling

Apply the graphic to a clean, dry, smooth surface; dust, wax and moisture weaken the adhesive. Clean it afterward with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, without abrasives or solvents.
